01 Situation
CorpsAfrica, operating across ten African countries, supports alumni volunteers transitioning into entrepreneurship. With a $5,000 seed fund available per participant, the organization identified a gap: alumni lacked the business readiness to turn ideas into sustainable ventures.
02 Assignment
CorpsAfrica commissioned Proportion Global to design and deliver a human-centered entrepreneurship training program for 4 cohorts of in total 68 entrepreneurs from Africa. The aim was to validate business ideas, build core capabilities, and prepare participants to confidently launch and scale their enterprises.
03 Approach
Leveraging its decentralized HCD network, Proportion Global delivered a 5-module blended learning program rooted in its 5P model—Passion, Power, Purpose, Problem, and Proposition. Live Zoom sessions, e-learning tools, and assignments guided alumni through customer research, business modeling, and pitch development. The training culminated in personalized action and learning plans, preparing entrepreneurs for seed fund deployment. A mentorship phase followed, with one-on-one coaching and expert-led thematic sessions.
04 Result
Participants emerged with validated business plans, deep customer insight, and stronger entrepreneurial confidence. The training positioned them not just for funding, but for long-term, community-rooted impact.
