A jury report and recommendations, on which the Alliance based its funding decision. Every applicant received feedback on where their proposal was a programme rather than an innovation: narrow the segment, name the riskiest assumptions, test them.

Ecosystem innovation to accelerate the adoption of Electric Vehicles across East Africa.

Evidence reframed fast charging as an income-protection tool rather than a speed solution. Scalable pathways emerged: trusted battery systems, flexible ownership models, and MSME-enabled infrastructure. The webinar convened ecosystem actors to validate insights and catalyse collaboration for regional scale. Audience expressed the desire to continue collaboration, for which an EV ecosystem space has been launched on the Innovators Team platform.

The sprint generated user-validated solutions, from flexible payment models and realistic job previews to localized tools and trust-building campaigns. Beyond individual outputs, the cross-learning dynamic accelerated adoption of insights across all teams. A clear shift emerged: designing for affordability, clarity, and lived realities unlocks stronger pathways for women to access and thrive in digital work.

The Climate Game successfully stimulated inclusive discussions, strengthened shared decision-making and empowered participants to identify climate actions. CSOs expressed strong interest in integrating the game into community engagement and advocacy work.

Catalysing Youth Innovation & entrepreneurship to Tackle Marine Plastic Waste in Mombasa.

The first programme proved the model’s effectiveness. It generated 14 ventures, 545 green jobs and 23 tonnes of collected plastic. The new concept positions Proportion Global to scale this momentum and drive lasting environmental and economic outcomes in Mombasa.
