Sudan

Listen to her story: Integrated GBV/SRH Service in South Sudan

The process generated a deep understanding of survivor needs and provider perspectives, validated barriers to GBV/SRH access, and clearly defined desired service characteristics. Storyboards, prototypes and schematic visuals now guide the IRC in designing integrated, survivor-centred services that are contextually appropriate, accessible and aligned with women’s preferences in South Sudan.

Power To Youth (Kenya Innovation Challenge)

The project delivered tested prototypes, detailed personas, a full pilot strategy and an M&E and risk-management framework. Early outcomes include strengthened youth leadership, positive behaviour shifts toward gender equality, increased male allyship and growing community-led resistance to harmful practices. Recognition as a top innovation secured funding for pilot rollout, enabling Kuria stakeholders to drive long-term, culturally rooted change.

Power To Youth (Ethiopia Innovation Challenge)

The team created an interactive GBV education game designed to shift attitudes, strengthen knowledge and promote respectful behaviour among students. The prototype restructures existing gender clubs into inclusive platforms delivering tailored, age-appropriate content for both boys and girls. By involving teachers, administrators and students, the intervention builds shared responsibility and lays the groundwork for safer, more supportive school environments.

Power To You(th) (Ghana Innovation Challenge)

YouthaTalk introduces a structured, locally adapted mechanism enabling youth to participate meaningfully in assembly committees and community-decision platforms. With MMDAs and CSOs as patrons, it strengthens representation of AGYW, PWDs and ethnic minorities while building youth capacity for joint reflection and advocacy. The process also deepened HCD capabilities within the PtY Ghana team, enhancing future governance and participation initiatives.

Improving Healthcare Habits to Reduce Maternal & Infant Mortality Rates in Rural Northern India

The project produced user-journey maps, a visual system landscape and four strategy documents outlining mental models and intervention points across all six journeys. Findings exposed factors such as resistance to “western” medication driving IFA non-adherence and highlighted high-impact opportunity areas for improving maternal and infant survival.
