TwoBillionEyes – Last mile distribution of eye care services to BoP customers

Eight unemployed youth became fully trained Vision Vijana agents, confidently delivering high-quality services rated 8.6/10 by drivers. More than 550 drivers received testing and corrective glasses where needed. The B2B approach proved commercially viable, securing follow-up clients such as Mars Logistics and informing an investment-ready business plan for TWOBILLIONEYES.

Exploring Youth’s Perspectives on the Business Case for Olive Oil Sector in Morocco

The process surfaced at least three youth-led business ideas and illuminated challenges including seasonality, low technical capacity and complex entrepreneurial pathways. Recommendations included multi-crop service models, improved technical training and better working conditions. A multi-year support program was proposed to strengthen youth participation through capacity building, finance, partnerships and policy advocacy—positioning young people as key drivers of sector transformation.

Five solutions emerged: waiting houses near facilities; emergency tricycle transport; a women-run community farm funding maternity care; obstetric-emergency tontines; and community resource centers for education and support. Together, these mechanisms strengthen financial preparedness, improve timely access to care and expand women’s agency in safeguarding maternal health.
