01 Situation
Following the feasibility study with GAIN, it became clear that a new type of co-innovation platform was needed—one that could bring together diverse actors, enable cross-sector collaboration, and sustain itself beyond donor-funded cycles.
02 Assignment
Move from concept to implementation: turning research insights into a functioning platform with a compelling design, viable business model, and inclusive ownership structure.
03 Approach
Our team developed and tested the platform across three dimensions:
Design & UI/UX: We created an intuitive, human-centered interface that allows users to easily launch and participate in challenges, access learning resources, and connect with peers globally. Co-design workshops with early adopters helped refine navigation, content flow, and interaction features.
Business Model: We have soft launched the services leading to a blend of revenue streams and cost sharing.
Ownership Model: We established a coalition-based governance approach, and are preparing the registration of a new social business in which partners can take shares.
04 Result
The Innovators Team platform was successfully soft launched. Various revenue models will result in being independent from just one revenue stream. Two organisations are official partners and five additional organisations are expected to become partners in the coming months.
